Metallica - Last Concert of "Madly In Anger With The World Tour" 2004

Daryl kept bringing up the show in San Jose, and after being undecided for a while, we went for it. 11 years after my first Metallica concert and after having almost forgotten my then favorite band, this was a memorable trip back into the past.

The most impressive set list was the following:

Blackened
Fuel
For Whom The Bell Tolls
No Leaf Clover
Frantic
The Unforgiven
Disposable Heros
The God That Failed
Welcome Home (Sanitarium)
Sad But True
Battery

Whereever I May Roam
Nothing Else Matters
Master Of Puppets

One
Enter Sandman

The Four Horsemen
Seek And Destroy

Anything but innovative, but definitely in favour of the crowd.

Thanksgiving Weekend 2004 - California State Parks

Año Nuevo & Garrapata 2004 Gallery LinkFor some strange reason, there were two state parks located close by my home town Santa Cruz that I hadn't explored yet.

I finally got the chance to see Año Nuevo State Reserve the day after Thanksgiving.

Saturday, Marc and I visited Garrapata State Park.

Garrapata is a hidden gem, located between Carmel and Big Sur. A great destination if you want the Big Sur experience and don't want to drive all the way.

On the way back, we stopped at Point Lobos State Reserve, one of the most beautiful pieces of land on the central coast. My third time in Point Lobos and I'm still not bored by it.

The dinner in Monterey was the worthy finale of the day.
